Mounia Akl's journey as a Lebanese director began with a degree in Architecture from ALBA, Lebanon, before she pursued an MFA in Directing at Columbia University. Her diverse background in teaching at both Northwestern University and Columbia's Film Department brings a unique perspective to her work. In 2021, she realized her vision as a director with her first feature film, Costa Brava, Lebanon, marking a significant milestone in her career.
